A day-long programme featuring a Doa Mahfil, farewell ceremony for Dakhil examinees, and prize distribution of annual sports and cultural competitions was held at Jamila Mansur Women’s Dakhil Madrasa in Uttar Jamirtoli under Lakshmipur Sadar upazila.
According to information and video footage sent by Md. Monjur Hossain, the event was held on Sunday (April 19) on the madrasa premises amid a festive atmosphere with the participation of teachers, students, and distinguished guests.
The founder of the institution, Hafez Munir Uddin Ahmad, Chairman of Al Quran Academy, London, was scheduled to attend the programme as the chief guest.
The event was presided over by Madrasa Superintendent Maulana Abu Yusuf, while it was conducted by Assistant Superintendent Nur Mohammad Russell.
Special guests included former Principal of Jamirtoli Alim Madrasa Hafez Khaled Saifullah, Senior Islamic Studies Teacher of Char Chamita Begum Ajifa High School Maulana Md. Shihab Uddin, and Assistant Professor of Jillur Rahim College Md. Mamunur Rashid, along with other local dignitaries.
Teachers present at the programme included Maulana Tarikul Islam (Assistant Maulvi), Sirajul Islam (Assistant Maulvi), Jahanara Arju (Assistant Teacher), Humayun Kabir (Mathematics), Md. Asaduzzaman Mir (Agriculture), Atikur Rahman (English), Tamanna Tasmin (Bangla), Umme Hani Nasrin (Head of Ebtedayee Section), Julekha Akter (Ebtedayee Maulvi), and Alal Mia (English), among others.
The institution was founded by Hafez Munir Uddin Ahmad, who is currently serving as Chairman of Al Quran Academy, London. His wife, noted author Khadija Akter Rezayi, is associated with the institution as a donor member.
The madrasa provides free education facilities and regularly conducts monthly examinations for students.
Prizes were distributed among the winners of various events of the annual sports and cultural competitions. Teachers were also honoured for their contributions.
In his address, the Madrasa Superintendent guided the students and offered important advice to the Dakhil examinees. He stated that 21 students from the institution will participate in the upcoming Dakhil examinations and wished them success.
Speakers at the event described Jamila Mansur Women’s Dakhil Madrasa as a model institution for female education and praised its overall development and contribution to society.
